Every Grade One to Six student spends time each week in a program called Words Their Way. This literacy activity builds spelling skills based on letter patterns within words. This program also builds understanding of the meaning of words, develops vocabulary, and assists in students using words more competently in their writing.
In this photo some of the students add a little extra engagement in the part of the lesson that involves cutting and sorting the words - an educational experience worth framing :)
